Labor Day

We went climbing on Labor Day with some ward friends. It was their first time going, and our first time since last summer (pretty sad since I used to climb three to four times a week). There is a great little place for beginners up Big Cottonwood Canyon. We got there at a great time and had a comfortable, shaded place to set up. Matthew enjoyed eating his food mixed with the canyon dirt, and we enjoyed watching him be a kid.
I spent most of my time at the top of the wall taking pictures (pictures from the bottom tend to be unflattering to most people). While at the top I was bewildered to see a woman that was not a part of our group talking to Brian and looking up at me. It turned out to be a friend of mine from Oregon, who recently moved to the Salt Lake area. We both thought it was an amazing coincidence that we were both climbing the same little wall on the same day. It really was a great day.
